Droom Design is a one-person studio. This page describes what information I hold about businesses I contact, and about people who visit this site.
I collect business names, websites, and contact email addresses that businesses have published publicly on their own websites. For each address I record the exact page it came from and when it was collected. Under Canadian anti-spam law this published-address basis is what permits me to send a first message.
I do not buy contact lists, and I do not collect personal information about individuals beyond a business contact address and, where published, a contact name.
If I build a sample homepage for a business, it's published at an unguessable address, shared only with that business, and taken down automatically after 60 days. I record whether the link was opened, so I know whether it's worth following up.
I record whether a message was delivered, bounced, replied to or unsubscribed. If you unsubscribe, your address is kept on a suppression list — that's the only way to guarantee I never contact you again.
The database sits on a rented server. Depending on the data-centre region, that server may be located outside Canada, in the European Union or the United States. Canadian privacy law permits storing information outside the country; this note is here so you know rather than have to ask. Email is handled by Microsoft 365.
No analytics, no advertising trackers, no cookies. This site is served by Cloudflare, which keeps standard server logs for security purposes.
