DROOM Book a Call

Missed call cost calculator

What do missed calls cost your business?

Four numbers from your own week. The page works out the jobs and the money at risk each month, and shows the sum so you can check it by hand.

A missed call only costs you a job when the caller was a new customer who would have booked. So the calculator multiplies the calls you miss in a week by the share that are new customers, then by the share you would win, then by what a job is worth, and turns the week into a month (× 52 ÷ 12). It uses no industry averages. The only number it brings is the $449 a month the automation plan costs.

Revenue at risk a month

$2,600

On these numbers, 2 saved jobs a month cover the $449 plan.

New-customer jobs lost a month8.67
Revenue at risk a month$2,600
Saved jobs a month that cover $4492

How it is worked out: 10 missed calls a week × 50% new customers × 40% you would win = 2 jobs a week. Multiply by 52 weeks and divide by 12 months: 8.67 jobs a month. Multiply by $300 a job: $2,600 a month. For the plan, $449 ÷ $300 = 1.5, rounded up to 2 jobs.

When the plan will not pay for itself

If you rarely miss a call, or a job is worth little to you, $449 a month will cost more than the calls bring in. The result above says so when your numbers land there, and I will say the same on a call.

What $449 a month covers

Your phone answered, with 300 answered minutes a month included and 50 cents a minute past that. Follow-up on quotes and appointments, Google review requests, the automations that fit your business, and a five-page website with the assistant on it. There is no setup fee.

Questions people ask before they hire

Where do the numbers come from?

From you. The calculator uses no survey figures or industry averages. The example values are there to show how it works, and the only number it supplies is the $449 monthly price.

Is the result what I would earn with the plan?

No. It is an estimate of the work at risk, built from your own guesses. The share of callers you would win is the one to be most careful with, so try it lower and see if the answer still holds.

What if I miss more calls than the plan covers?

The plan includes 300 answered minutes a month, roughly a hundred calls. Past that it is 50 cents a minute, and I tell you before you get near it.
